Significant planning update for Carindale.

Brisbane City Council has released the proposed changes to the Carindale Major Centre, including a major uplift in building heights around the shopping centre.

Key elements:

• Centre Core + Centre Fringe proposed up to 30 storeys

• Centre Residential proposed up to 10 storeys

• Height transitions along Winstanley St, Creek Rd, Banchory Ct and Bulimba Creek

• Stronger design, mixed‑use and public‑realm requirements.

• Public submissions are open until 25 May 2026, giving residents the opportunity to have their say on the proposed changes.
